Pulse is a text adventure being made in Dark Basic Pro by me. I started it a year ago for the Text Adventure Competition and submitted the prologue, because of Uni work etc. I stopped working on it. But I finished all of my uni work a week ago, this gives me an opportunity to get back on it.
The game is set in a world of religious fundamentalism, a dystopian future that's probably like the 14th Century...though it's a paralleled world, rather than our own where you follow the two main characters of Byulf and Krem, who are caste as heathens that live on the outskirts of the town where the villain called the preacher exists, his character is one that strikes fear into those who hear his word. You embarked on the adventure of trying to bring the theocratic government from the inside.
It's a text adventure of course, it is like reading a book, except you make your own choices, you have to lead the characters throughout the plot without getting one of those dreaded 'Game Over' screens, some choices will lead you to sudden (or not so sudden) death. There's no crazy visuals, but there is some music and images to follow, that gives the adventure a bit more colour and life than your traditional text adventure, just to capture the mood.
So yes, for now, that's it. Updates as I am working on it- screenshots too and demos.
