The whole point of this game demo is to see how much you can shoot before you die. This is still a W.I.P.

This is my first project on Game Torpedo, and my first real game. It's an arcade-ish shooter game, where you control a holographic-styled cannon on a base.

Use the mouse to aim (you don't have to have the cursor over the enemies) and press the left button to fire. Hold it down to fire consecutive shots. The game will continue until you've hit 100 power.

Development Log

Never mind that, I've been way to busy with Masteell. So, expect the final game....... when I feel like it. XD
Online highscores will be added thanks to gmhighscores.com.

Updated the thumbnail to look better.
A new game demo will be released probably June 14th. The game will be re-coded as we speak and will not feature the offence mode.
There will be two types of gameplay: this game mode (called defence mode) and one where it's a classic scrolling shooter (called offence mode).
Gameplay update expected around mid-June.

Comments

Not quite sure on what the goal is. If it is to shoot everything, it may be too difficult.

Nah, the whole point is to see how much you can shoot before you die. I've got the concept for the single-player mode down, and it's different from this.

nice, i like the fast paced gameplay, still needs more power-ups touch. runs fine on vista btw :D

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, I'm working on some other ideas.
I'm writing the gameplay update in the log if you're interested.

Pretty cool, the 'power' was a little ambiguous though, at first I thought I was supposed to get power, not avoid it.

Rather entertaining, though it feels a bit futile ( when playing I felt like I had no effect on how long I survived, maybe have less things falling or fall a touch slower? )
Developer Comment
Thanks for the comment! Well, the point of the power moniker is to "balance" it -- in the final game, the more you have the easier the level, however get too much and it's game over. To control this, you can set off a bomb that decreases the power but destroys all the enemies on-screen.
Good first beta, but like Phosphoer, besides the bar turning red slowly I had no idea how long I was going to survive DX
Developer Comment
Like I said, the gameplay will be explained accordingly.
