DownFall will be a 3D version of my text based roleplaying game 'Prime Evil'. It will be multiplayer, and while I am hoping to go so far as to say 'massively', I will not set my sights that high just yet. There will support for a large number of players though.
This project has just started, and there is a lot of work that needs to be done on it. In all actuallity a full description of this game could never be summed into 10,000 characters or less. If you would like some insight you could check out some of the works listed below.
Some Credits
While this game is not based on anything in particular, a few interesting works of fiction were clearly floating about my head at the moment my muse hit me with the giant mallet. Those works are...
Tyranny - Created by Jake Alley, 2001. A cool start of a diceless role playing system which I have taken, twisted, and refined for my own evil purpose.
Fallen Angels and the Origins of Evil - By Elizabeth Clair Prophet. Why church fathers suppressed the book of Enoch and its startling revelations.
The Dante Valentine Novels - By Lilith Saintcrow which tells the story of a female bounty hunter living in the future. She makes a couple deals with the devil and even has a demon companion. Also she contributes her DNA to the creation to another demon, and hears the story of how humans were created by demons.
Inu-Yasha - A manga series by Rumiko Takahashi which serves as an excellent example of the sort of adventure this game is here to create.
Slayers NEXT - An anime series which puts a fair amount of effort into portraying the sort of power struggles inherent in a group of extremely powerful beings with loose morals.
In addition to the creators of those works which helped inspire this game, allow me to use this space to also give thanks to everyone who helped test this game (Thats you!), gave it the praise needed for me to keep fleshing things out (You again!), and the financial support needed to justify taking the time to add to it (I hope that is you too).
